His journey from ITI - Turner to IIT Mumbai has been very inspiring. Nelson Mandela holds a PhD from the university and a DA from Global Peace University. The academic part with Litt was a different journey. He has also been a Professor in the College of Engineering affiliated to the University of Mumbai. Being a daily lockdown, he inspired people through webinars, YouTube, journalism and other platforms. His motto is simple: "Your greatness is my business."
He has received over 200 national and international awards and has authored more than 12 books. Its seminars and training programs attract more than 150,000 trainees from 15 countries around the world. His favorite subjects are Mindset, Business Excellence and Public Excellence. He has also worked for national and international record breaking organizations. His performance has been reported in newspapers and TV channels across India.
They say that - Success is the only measure that cannot be easily measured, but some people take their passion and skills to such a level that life starts to appreciate them.
This man, who received many awards throughout his life, was like a normal boy in childhood. To enter the Limca and Guinness Book of Records from the ordinary to the extraordinary is an exciting journey.
Childhood in Simplicity: The real strength lies in strengthening your roots and Pvt. Dr Dinesh Gupta did this in his childhood. Dinesh was born on 22 May 1978 in Kalyan, Maharashtra. For the last two years, his birthday is celebrated as Mindset Day. Although originally from Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, his relatives had moved from there many years before his birth. His grandfather used to work in the Mumbai GPO Post Office. Today a postage stamp has been issued in the name of Dinesh.
His father used to sell food and tea at the shops built under his house. Dinesh Gupta grew up in a very peaceful environment, which helped him understand the true meaning of happiness and success. Although a normal student in school, he started developing new skills after finishing class X. Learning to sew and flower necklaces, he worked as a turner fitter in a daily wage shop after high school. It was his hunger to learn that inspired him to try something new every day. Used it as an experience in his future life.
Paths to Better Education: Dinesh wanted to take his education to the next level and hence he prepared a plan for each year of his life. After completing 10th and 12th, he decided to do ITI course in turner trade for one year. That year also I had the opportunity to read the famous book "You Can Win" by Shiv Khera, the inspirational writer who resumed his career. He followed a book like someone called it Bible, Gita and Quran. Adapted to the teachings. He soon began to practice the habits and reasoning given in the book, and his vision of life changed not only for his uplift but also the atmosphere.
Positives from the book: Looking at the mindset, he completed his four-year diploma in engineering in 2001 with a gold medal and then Dinesh started teaching diploma students. He did not have any major qualifications and this fact became evident when he also completed Section A and Section B degree of AMIE (Associate Member of Institute of Engineers). He was so passionate about mastering skills that a goal was set for each year and he was finally on the list for the following year in 2004 when he got admission in IIT Bombay after graduation. While studying in IIT, his main mantra is to learn new things like electro-hydraulic, PLC (Programmable Logic Control) etc and support his family. He worked as a Production cum Process Engineer in Sagarika Music Company, which is famous for making DVD players and CDs. To take his educational legacy to another level, he did his M.A. from JNTU, Hyderabad. Tech completed.
Education has come to an end to pay back to the Society and now is the best time to use your skills and experience to serve the society. Since 2004, he has visited several schools to teach students not only the course material but the essence of life. Together with Sujit Sunar, he launched 'Safalta Ki Udaan' in 2014 to inspire people to make their dreams come true.
"Giving a fish means helping for a day, but teaching how to fish helps one for a lifetime." Dinesh's philosophy of life Dinesh believes in contributing and that's why he always tries to inspire others by setting himself as an example. Living with this approach, he has already taught and inspired 88 thousand students and delivered more than 2500 lectures on various subjects. As the author of 12 books, he wrote his life experiences and other inspiring stories. One thing that talent needs is a platform and Dinesh needs to start something where people can understand his abilities and take his skills to the next level.
It was then that he started a company called OMG Book of Records, where talented people like him are given an opportunity to showcase their skills and register their names on the basis of their abilities. Despite not receiving much financial support from the government and others, he extended his company's work to OMG Discussion, based on the idea of a TED discussion. Many people enjoy the opportunity to introduce TED as a talkative, designed with the goal of providing a free session for all who want to share their life journey to be successful.
One person: a lot of art, many records: the best part of his journey is that his list of skills and hobbies does not stop at any point. Apart from being an engineer by profession, he turned his life to work as a renowned inspector, storyteller, writer, consultant, life coach, researcher and rainwater harvesting consultant. This list is still expanding at a very high rate and continues to be an inspiration to everyone in the community. Dinesh is a man who has successfully utilized all his skills and this is the reason why his stellar performance is being appreciated globally which has given India a new door to life.
Dinesh always strives for a better society today as compared to yesterday, and he believes that this will be possible only if you have the knowledge and skills to make a difference in the world. He has received a lot of recognition for his vision and goal of inspiring people, but he has always supported himself. All his records are working as a stepping stone, helping him to climb to the next level for social benefit. Most of the money raised from our sponsors and prizes is being spent on creating opportunities for other skilled people, which has brought a ray of hope to the community.
Dinesh always lays more emphasis on discovering through his talent than on getting the award. However, he also knows that they can help reach as many people as he needs to learn about his abilities. In recognition of his work, the local MP has already nominated him for the prestigious 'Bharat Gaurav' award. Moreover, they have filled the form for the prestigious Padma Shri keeping in mind the contribution of the people in various activities like arts, education, social service, public affairs and others. They are currently working to make their biggest dream come true of opening an OMG resort on the record company's OMG Book and OMG Correspondents line. These records encourage people to showcase their talents and showcase their masterpieces all in one place, which will inspire others to choose their hobbies and make career decisions.
