Assam - Keeping in view its second Pratishtha Diwas celebrated in the first week of January, Assamese weekly newspaper and digital news media Asom Barta has organized an all India essay writing competition for young writers below the age of 30 years. The theme of the essay competition is 'News and Democracy in Different Media Systems'. The prizes for the competition will be presented at Jorhat on its second foundation day. The winner and runner-up of this competition to be held in three languages- Assamese, Hindi and English will be awarded with certificate and amount. Interested people may send their entries online (abnewsmajuli@gmail.com) or to Assam Barta Office at Garamour-785104, Majuli by 30 November. Its result will be declared on December 20.
