Chef Rajkumar Kalal was born, raised, and educated in Udaipur, Rajasthan, India. Rajkumar Kalal developed a love for baking at an early stage of his career when he started his first job as a pastry and bakery commie in 2011. Since then he has come a long way in his career, working in two different countries, winning three times, the best employee award, and various certificates from celebrity chefs.
He is currently working as an executive pastry chef with a cioccolato French concept cafe and restaurant in Abu Dhabi. In 2020, after gaining years of professional experience, he opened his own restaurant in partnership with his friend called, The Masala Darbar, which is a multi cuisine restaurant. With further plans of starting high end cafes and restaurants with unique and creative concepts in India. He wants to provide Chef consultancy services and dreams to leave a mark on the food industry with his very own brand identity.
Coming from a middle class family his mindest was to eventually go for a government service but that never materialized. Rajkumar found his calling in the food industry and after class 12, he decided to go for a diploma in Food Production from Food Craft Institute, Udaipur. After the diploma, his Internship in the hotel Taj Lake Palace under the apprenticeship of Chef Ravi Rai got his career going. Working at the best hotels in India like Taj and Mahindra for three years further shaped his career and paved the way to eventually move to Abu Dhabi.
Rajkumar Kalal is pursuing his graduation to ultimately go for MBA in Hospitality. All his achievements have led him to work hard and achieve his goal to become a business owner in a competitive market for bakeries and pastries. He wants to create market value via a range high-quality products.
