    Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan planted a banyan tree in Smart Garden today in the memory of Bharat Ratna Swar Kokila Late Sushri Lata Mangeshkar. Before planting saplings, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan paid floral tributes by garlanding the portrait of Sushri Lata Mangeshkar in Smart Garden. Along with Chief Minister Shri Chouhan, noted personalities from Bhopal who have contributed in the field of music and singing Pandit Sajjan Lal Brahmbhatt, Shri Umakant Gundecha, Sushri Kirti Sood, Sushri Aakriti Mehra, Sushri Dhani Gundecha, Shri Dilip Mahashabde, Shri Sajid Khan and Shri Salim Allahwale planted Moulshree and Cassia saplings.


  Paying tribute to Swar Kokila Sushri Lata Mangeshkar, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Lata ji's passing is a personal loss. This in itself is a unique event. Every Indian feels that this is his personal loss. Every household feels that they have suffered a big loss. Her songs infuse new enthusiasm and new energy among the people. The song “Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon” has become very popular among the people of India. Lata ji's voice gave a distinct identity and great contribution to the music.


 Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that due to the death of Lata ji, such a void has been created, which is impossible to fill. I myself am experiencing this emptiness on a personal level as well. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that whenever I get time, it is my interest to listen to Lata ji's music. Her passing is a loss that can never be filled. Lata ji will always be with us through her songs.


 Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Lata ji was born in Indore. The State Government has decided that a Sangeet Academy, Sangeet Mahavidyalaya and Museum will be established in Indore in the name of Bharat Ratna Swar Kokila Sushri Lata Mangeshkar. A statue of Sushri Lata Mangeshkar will be installed in Indore itself. The entire contribution of Lata ji to music will be available in the museum. After discussing with the experts of music science, the structure of the museum will be determined and its construction will be done. Lata ji was not only the light of music, she was also such a signature of patriotism, from which the whole country took inspiration. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Lata Mangeshkar Award would also be given every year on the birthday of Lata ji.


 Chief Minister Shri Chouhan while getting emotional said that - "Didi we will not forget you, a humble tribute at the feet of Lata ji."
