Kunal Grover
(24th June, 1999) though born in the capital city of India, Delhi; spent half
of his childhood living in Ghana, a western African nation; just when he moved
back to Delhi in 2007 when his parents decided that he must get proper education
in the prestigious schools of India. He then lived with his mother and
grandparents and after all the struggle adjusting in Indian schools, he finally
made it to a GGSIPU college BanarsidasChandiwala, Chandiwala Estate— a top tier
college throughout the country. Enrolled in a 4-year bachelors program in Hotel
Management, Kunal subjected himself in the glamorous Hospitality and Tourism
Industry.Currently, on the verge of graduation, he remembers how he discovered
his talents and found his passion during his initial college years. His
sincerity towards academics made him win many National Hospitality and Tourism
Competitions and even awarded for his Research Works in the same field. It was
the moment for him, when he realised his skills in writing and started inclining
towards the same. Soon he became the student head of his college’s media and
editorial team, and this certain inclination towards writing opened another
path for him— to express his creativity and imagination in the form of fiction
novels and stories centeredaround young minds. He was keen on writing fiction
and it was the year 2020, when he began stacking and assembling his thoughts as
drafts on his phone. As an amateur in the literary field, he looked up to his
mother for help and guidance. Kunal has always driven inspiration from his
mother as he recalls his days back from Ghana. That how his mother, being an
immigrant was still able to land a job in teaching in a foreign country where
the race isn’t even the same. Now, his mother with an expertise as an educator
and an MA English High School Educator immediately agreed to guide him and show
him the right way.
By 2021, Kunal with the full support of his mother finally completed his first
novel Secrets Behind A Bloodlinewhich was published in the same year, followed
by its sequel in early 2022. Kunal then started working on his 3rd book but was
gradually losing hope in the literary world as his books did not reach out to a
wide audience of readers. While researching for his 3rd book and during the
process of its writing, he came across a publication named The Drastic Change
and realised that TDC was everywhere— on the web, in the news articles, on
podcasts on every such platform and even on google play with their own
application. Kunal then began feeling optimistic towards the literary field and
dialled TDC. Upon having the very first conversation with Mr. Subhash Jha and
Ms. Sandhya Sharma, his spirits were boosted to the ceiling!They were very
kind, cooperative, supportive and transparent with Kunal; that inspired him to
dream those lost dreams again, and to continue with his passion of writing
fiction.Kunal began reading books from his favourite authors— Agatha Christie
and Stephen Chbosky— and drove inspiration from their writing style. Kunal then
created his own distinct writing style which was different from his old books,
and finally completed his 3rd book Shatteredand sent the manuscript to TDC
publication.
Constantly in touch with with Ms. Sandhya and Mr. Subhash Jha throughout the
process, one fine day, Kunal received a call from them and they asked him to
check Amazon for his listed books. Kunal found his book Shatteredlisted and
published within only 10 days, which came to him a a shock.TDC’s immense
support, transparency and commitments changed Kunal’s whole belief system and
he has started believing in himself, his works and the literary world once again—
all because of Mr. Subhash Jha and Ms. Sandhya.
In Kunal’s own words, when it comes to describe Shattered :
Taking the readers to another realm, this fantasy-horror-fiction novel follows
the story of the protagonist, Jeremy— his adventurous quest of finding
love, reason and purpose to live in a newly horrifying world, where his life
got shattered into!With the mysterious adventures of the protagonist, the novel
also sheds light on the human desires of greed, power and relationships. The
author emphasises on the long lost traits of humans that defined humanity:
acceptance, redeeming, to value the present and to be grateful for it. Though
containing some horrific incidents, this story doesn’t divert from its message
and yet, keeps the readers in thrill for turning the pages quickly to find what
will happen to theprotagonist’s life and that of his fellow characters.
Inspired by the Greek Gods and the Ancient Greek Religion, the story of Jeremy
teaches the readers to follow a path and a goal— something to thrive for; with
the beautiful songs, ballads and folklores passed on by the ancestors, as
depicted in this novel. Join the quest of Jeremy, with a little bit of
horror, little bit of cultural influences, some parts of action, some even
magical; and his battle for love and acceptance! Leaving the rest in the pages
of history and myths narrated in the songs…
Kunal emphasises on all the young minds to buy this book and give it a read. He
believes this book will serve as both an entertainment and a moral lesson for
