On the 41st day of the One Crore Plantation Mega Campaign led by Jai Dharti Maa Foundation, a significant milestone was achieved. The respected Deputy Commissioner of Dhanbad, Mr. Aditya Ranjan, extended his support by providing 13,500 fruit-bearing saplings to the foundation. This generous contribution gave immense strength and encouragement to all members of the foundation, motivating them to continue the mission of planting one crore saplings with greater determination.
So far, the campaign has successfully completed 41 days, during which 15,700 fruit-bearing trees have been planted across various locations in Dhanbad district. These plantations were carried out at government high schools, middle schools, primary schools, Anganwadi centers, and public places, ensuring maximum community involvement and impact. The foundation has resolved to keep this movement ongoing until the ultimate target of one crore saplings is achieved.
It is noteworthy that the campaign was officially launched on 11th July 2025 at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Benagoria (Nirsa Block). The inaugural plantation was carried out jointly by Mr. Ravi Kumar Nishad, Founder of Jai Dharti Maa Foundation, and Ms. Usha Kujur, Principal of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya. They planted a mango sapling, symbolizing the beginning of this historic green movement.
Since then, the plantation drive has spread across multiple blocks of Dhanbad district, including Nirsa, Baghmara, Jharia, Dhanbad, Tundi, Purvi Tundi, Topchanchi, and Barwadda. At Anganwadi centers, saplings were also distributed to the sahayikas (helpers) to ensure local nurturing and sustainability of the plants.
The success of this program was made possible through the collective efforts of the foundation’s dedicated members. Key contributors include Co-founder Ranjit Kumar, Program Officer Shamsher Ali (Raju), Tribal Welfare Officer Sudhir Hembrom, District Secretary Sahadev Mahato, District President Anil Kewat, Amit Yadav, and Kunal Kumar Sharma, among others.
The campaign has not only created environmental awareness but has also sown the seeds of a healthier, greener future for generations to come. With continuous community participation and administrative support, Jai Dharti Maa Foundation’s One Crore Plantation Mission is steadily moving toward becoming a landmark initiative in environmental conservation.
