Today, Madhya Pradesh, the heart of the country, is emerging with a different identity at the national level by progressing and developing in various fields. Be it the schemes of the Center or the state government’s own public welfare schemes, the Shivraj government of Madhya Pradesh is becoming a leading state in the whole country with its outstanding performance.
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, who had virtually participated in the state level Pradhan Manri Gareeb Anna Kalyan Yojana programme of Madhya Pradesh, the state which is known for its foodgrain distribution to the beneficiaries of Public Distribution System had also said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Madhya Pradesh is no longer a BIMARU state. This statement of Prime Minister Shri Modi is a matter of pride for Madhya Pradesh.
The achievement of Madhya Pradesh in the recent nationwide vaccination campaign to prevent Corona infection is better than other states. Madhya Pradesh has created a national record of vaccination twice in the Vaccination Mahabhiyan. Similarly, Madhya Pradesh has made a different identity in the implementation of schemes related to the life of the common man.
If we look at last year’s implementation of schemes and achievements, Madhya Pradesh ranked first in the country in procurement of wheat on support price. In the first and second wave of Corona, Madhya Pradesh has been leading n the country in Agriculture Infrastructure Fund Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, loan distribution to street vendors under Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Yojana, Smart City Ranking, Jal Jeevan Mission, Accessible Business Ranking, ration distribution in public distribution system and in the implementation of various other schemes and programmes including making of the roadmap of Madhya Pradesh under Atmanirbhar Bharat. Recently, by implementing the National Education Policy-2020 in the state, Madhya Pradesh has again proved to be leading among other states in the country.
The interest of the people of the state has been paramount in the work done by Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan during his tenure as the Chief Minister. Along with infrastructure building, new schemes were also implemented by making many innovations in the field of beneficiary-oriented schemes and good governance. The system created for continuous monitoring of each scheme at different levels has been helpful in successful implementation of the schemes.
Madhya Pradesh has emerged with its own distinct identity in making innovations as per the needs of the people according to the ground situation. During the Corona period, new schemes were implemented in public interest, providing all possible help to the people of the state, which has become a shelter for the affected people today. The Mukhya Mantri Kisan-Kalyan Yojana proved to be very helpful for the farmers during the Corona period. At the same time, the Chief Minister Covid-19 Child Welfare Scheme became the guardian for those children whose parents died due to Corona infection.
The Madhya Pradesh government is taking up the responsibility of providing food security along with financial assistance to all such children. Along with this, Chief Minister Covid-19 Vishesh Anugraha Yojana, Chief Minister’s Corona Warrior Welfare Scheme for government employees and Chief Minister’s Covid-19 Compassionate Appointment Scheme also became the support of many families.
A sensitive Shivraj government has started many more new schemes, including Chief Minister’s Rural Path Vendors Loan Scheme, CM Rise Yojana, Mukhya Mantri Krishak Fasal Uparjan Sahayata Yojana, Chief Minister’s Self-Employment Scheme, Mukhya Mantri Udyam Kranti Yojana and Mukhya Mantri Pravasi Mazdoor Sahayata Yojana ae the prominent ones. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, in his fourth term, revived the public welfare schemes launched in his previous tenures, with which the common people of the state were directly connected. These schemes include Mukhyamantri Jan-Kalyan Sambal Yojana, Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Vivah Nikah Yojana, Deendayal Antyodaya Rasoi Yojna, loan scheme at zero percent interest rate to farmers and Pratibha Protsahan Yojana to distribute laptops to meritorious students.
During the Corona period, Madhya Pradesh became a leading state in the country by providing employment to more than one crore needy people in the state through MNREGA. Madhya Pradesh also ranks first in the country in providing employment to Scheduled Tribe families through MNREGA. It is the first state in the country to have issued identity certificates to transgenders. Madhya Pradesh is also a leader in the country in the use of information technology.
To give a taste of good governance to the people of the state, strict action has been taken against land mafia, apart from implementation of strict legal provisions against those who trade in food grains and illicit liquor, and those who trade in spurious drugs. Recently, the Madhya Pradesh Municipality Law Amendment Ordinance has also been implemented to legalize illegal colonies in the urban areas of the state.
Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan says that he is softer than a flower for gentlemen and tougher than a thunderbolt for criminals. Crime will not be tolerated on the soil of Madhya Pradesh. He is conducting regular review of law and order, apart from realizing his vision of creating a crime-free Madhya Pradesh.
