Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has appealed to the people of the state to take necessary precautions to prevent corona as well as cooperate in preventing the spread of dengue. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that due to unnecessary stagnation of water around our houses, dengue causing larvae get a chance to flourish. Through awareness corona and dengue as well as other infectious diseases can be prevented. Precaution is better than treatment. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan urged the citizens of the state through various mass media to take part in the "Dengu Se Jung Janta Ke Sang" (Battle Against Dengue With People’s Participation) campaign on September 15 and attack the roots of dengue and be a participant in protecting the health of the people of the neighbourhood including themselves and their families.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that for the last one and a half years, we are continuously fighting the war against Corona. This has been possible with the cooperation of the public. I am satisfied to say that we have been successful in bringing the corona under control instantly. But don't be careless. Caution is necessary and vaccination is the most important in the war against Covid. Let's get vaccinated. Vaccination work is going on fast in Madhya Pradesh under the able leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The Prime Minister is giving us free vaccine. So far, more than 75 percent of the brothers and sisters of the eligible population in Madhya Pradesh have been given the first dose of the vaccine. But still there are people who have yet to take advantage of vaccination. It is our resolve that by September 30, we will give the first dose of vaccine to the eligible population of Madhya Pradesh.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that remember that only the first vaccine is not enough. Getting the second vaccine after the first vaccine means taking the second dose of the vaccine is also necessary and so if the time limit is over after getting the first vaccine, then do not forget to take the second vaccine, only then you will get complete protection from Covid. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that I request you that if you have not got the vaccine yet, then do not delay at all. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has urged the citizens who could not get the first dose or both the doses so far, to visit their nearest vaccination centre. Get vaccinated immediately and not only you, if there is anyone left in the family who has not been able to get vaccinated, then get your family vaccinated, get your neighbours vaccinated, get your relatives vaccinated, get the villagers vaccinated, it is also your duty that no one should be left without getting vaccine.
Vaccination mega campaign on Prime Minister's birthday
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that again the vaccination mega campaign is going to be held on September 17. That day is also the birthday of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Vaccines will be administered on that day by running a massive campaign. I request you that in your village, in your locality, in your ward, if anyone is left, then after searching and convincing, get them vaccinated. I am making one more request that the danger of the third wave is not over yet. The positive cases of Covid are coming continuously and hence it is extremely important to apply masks, maintain distance, maintain restraint during festivals. In Madhya Pradesh, we are doing about 75 thousand tests daily. But there is a problem, some people are refusing to give samples for the test. This is not right at all. Remember, the only way to detect Covid infection is to keep doing maximum tests. For that it is necessary to give samples and samples will have to be taken from every corner of the state. So please do not deny if the team comes to collect the sample, safety is in caution.
Fight against dengue with the public
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that a decision has also been taken to conduct "Dengue se Jung Janata Ke Sang" (Battle Against Dengue With People’s Participation) campaign on September 15. Cases of dengue have been reported in the state. In view of this, it was decided to run this campaign. Government employees will do their work, they are doing it too. Government staff will do fogging, larva destruction, sanitation, spraying medicine where there is water logging, etc. But this battle also has to be fought with the cooperation of the people. Therefore, I appeal to you that of water has been accumulated for at least seven days in your house, then do not allow such water to remain accumulated. In any water tank, pot, pit and in the cooler, if there is any water filled for a long time, then immediately empty that water. Medicine can be put in the pit etc. to kill the larvae. Cleanliness is essential. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that we have decided that on September 15, between 10 am and 10.30 am, half an hour has to be taken out for this campaign. With the cooperation of the citizens, this campaign will surely be successful.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that if necessary, clean your house. Empty the filled water. If necessary, medicine should also be added to the stagnant water to kill the larvae, check coolers, pits, water tanks, etc., because dengue spreads due to the growth of larvae. We should not allow the conditions that lead to the growth of larvae. For this your cooperation is necessary. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan expressed confidence that we will fight and win the war against dengue together.
