     The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various development projects worth over Rs.16,800 crore in Deoghar. Jharkhand Governor Shri Ramesh Bais, Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren, Union Minister Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia, State Ministers and public representatives were present on the occasion.

    Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister said that today with the blessings of Baba Vaidyanath, projects worth more than Rs 16,000 crore have been inaugurated and the foundation stone has been laid. These are going to give a lot of impetus to Jharkhand's modern connectivity, energy, health, faith and tourism .

  The Prime Minister said that the development of the nation through the development of the states, the country has been working with this thinking for the last 8 years. In the last 8 years, highways, railways, airways, waterways, trying to connect Jharkhand in every way, the same thinking, this feeling has been paramount . All these facilities will have a positive impact on the economic development of the state.

  The Prime Minister said that today Jharkhand is getting a second airport. This will be very easy for the devotees of Baba Baidyanath. With reference to making air travel affordable for the common man through the UDAN scheme, the Prime Minister said that today the benefits of the government's efforts are visible across the country. Around 70 new locations have been added through airports, heliports and water aerodromes in the last 5-6 years under the UDAN scheme. Today common citizens are getting the facility of air travel on more than 400 new routes. More than 10 million people have taken very cheap air travel and many of them have experienced air travel for the first time. The Prime Minister expressed happiness that the flight from Deoghar to Kolkata has started from today and flights to Ranchi, Delhi and Patna will start soon. He said that the work of airports in Bokaro and Dumka is going on.

  The Prime Minister said that along with connectivity, the Central Government is also focusing on building facilities at important places related to faith and spirituality in the country. Modern facilities have also been expanded in Baba Baidyanath Dham under the Prasad scheme. In this way, when work is done with holistic thinking, then every section of the society, every sector gets new means of income in the form of tourism and new facilities and new opportunities arise from this.

  The Prime Minister also highlighted the benefits of the country's efforts to grow the gas based economy for the state of Jharkhand. He said that PM Urja Ganga Yojana is changing the old picture. He said, 'We are taking many new historic decisions on converting shortages into opportunities.' The Bokaro-Angul section of GAIL's Jagdishpur-Haldia-Bokaro-Dhamra pipeline will expand the city gas distribution network in 11 districts of Jharkhand and Odisha.

  The Prime Minister said that we are following the mantra of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas.  New avenues of development, employment-self-employment are being discovered by investing in infrastructure. Talking about the benefits of these initiatives for Jharkhand, he said, “We have laid emphasis on development aspirations, focusing on aspirational districts . He said that most of the 18,000 villages that have been electrified till so long after independence are in remote and inaccessible areas. He said, the government has worked in mission mode in the last 8 years to bring tap water, road and gas connections.

  Referring to the proliferation of modern facilities beyond the big cities, the Prime Minister said that these projects are proof that when steps are taken to make the lives of common citizens easier, the wealth of the nation is created and for national development. New opportunities also arise. "This is the right development and together we have to accelerate the pace of such development," he said.










Development Projects in deoghar

  Baba Vaidyanath Dham is an important religious place for devotees across the country. As a step to provide direct connectivity to Baba Vaidyanath, the Prime Minister inaugurated the Deoghar Airport. It has been built at an estimated cost of around Rs 400 crore. The airport's terminal building has a capacity of about half a million passengers annually.

  AIIMS in Deoghar is a boon to the health sector in the entire locality. The services of AIIMS, Deoghar will increase as the Prime Minister dedicated the services of AIIMS, Deoghar Patient (In-Patient) Department (IPD) and Operation Theater to the nation. This is in line with the vision of the Prime Minister to develop excellent health facilities in all parts of the country. The foundation stone of AIIMS Deoghar was laid by the Prime Minister on 25 March 2018.

  Prime Minister's commitment to develop world-class infrastructure at religiously important places across the country and improve facilities for tourists at all such places as components of the "Vaidyanath Dham, Deoghar Vikas" project approved under the PRASAD scheme of the Ministry of Tourism. I will get further boost. The projects inaugurated by the Prime Minister include development of two big shrine buildings with a capacity of 2,000 pilgrims, development of Jalsar Lake front, Sivaganga Talab development etc. The new facilities will improve the experience of lakhs of devotees visiting Baba Baidyanath Dham every year.

  The Prime Minister inaugurated and laid foundation stones of several road projects worth over Rs 10,000 crore . On this occasion, six laning of Gorhar to Barwara section of NH-2, widening of NH-32 from Rajganj-chas to West Bengal border etc. projects were   inaugurated. Apart from this, the projects for which the foundation stone has been laid include four-laning of Mirzachowki-Farakka section of NH-80, four-laning of Hariharganj to Parva Mode section of NH-98, four-laning of Palma to Gumla section of NH-23. Construction of lanes, elevated corridor on Kucheri Chowk to Piska Mode section of NH-75 etc. These projects will further encourage connectivity in the region. Along with this, movement will become easier for the general public.

  The Prime Minister also inaugurated and laid foundation stones of various energy infrastructure projects in the region worth about Rs 3,000 crore . This includes the Bokaro-Angul section of GAIL's Jagdishpur-Haldia-Bokaro-Dhamra pipeline; HPCL's new LPG Bottling Plant at Barhi, Hazaribagh and BPCL's Bokaro LPG Bottling Plant were inaugurated. In addition, the foundation stone of Parbatpur Gas Collecting Station, ONGC's Coal Bed Methane (CBM) asset in Jharia block was laid.

 The Prime Minister inaugurated two rail projects- Godda-Hansdiha electrification section and Garhwa-Mahuria doubling projects. These projects will help in ensuring smooth movement of goods to industries and power stations. These will also make the movement of trains from Dumka to Asansol easier. The Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone of three rail projects - Redevelopment of Ranchi Railway Station, Jasidih Bypass Line and LHB Coach Maintenance Depot, Godda   . The redevelopment of Ranchi station includes world class passenger amenities including food court, executive lounge, cafeteria, air conditioned waiting hall etc. This will ensure ease of movement as well as comfort for the passengers.
