Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has said that not only will India benefit from the restoration of India’s cultural splendor, but the whole world and the entire humanity will benefit from it. The establishment of ‘Shri Mahakal Lok’ in Ujjain is a link to this. It is an inscription of timeless existence on the Kaal. Today, Ujjain is announcing the cultural immortality of India and proclaimation a new era. For us, religion means collective determination of duties, welfare of the world and service to mankind. What we lost before independence is being restored today. Prime Minister, Shri Modi, was addressing a public function after the dedication of Shri Mahakal Lok in Ujjain today.
Prime Minister Shri Modi said that Shri Mahakal Lok is divine. Everything here is supernatural, unforgettable and incredible. Worship of Mahakal is a journey from end to eternity, it is a journey of joy, it also erases the lines of time. Mahakal Lok will provide consciousness of supernatural divinity and cultural energy to many generations to come. For this wonderful work, I heartily congratulate Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, his government and the temple committee, who have rendered their services with complete dedication.
Prime Minister Shri Modi said that Ujjain, the city of Lord Mahakal, is a city which is free from the ravages of holocaust (Pralay). “Pralayo na badhyate, tat Mahakal pujyate”. Ujjain is not only the center of time calculation and astrological calculation, but it is also the center of the soul of India. It is one of the seven holy Puris. Here Lord Krishna pursued education. The golden age of India began with the advent of Vikramaditya. Vikram Samvat started from the land of Mahakal.
The Prime Minister said that Ujjain has history in every moment, spirituality in every particle and divine energy in every corner. There are eighty four Mahadevs, four Mahaviras, six Vinayakas, eight Bhairavs, Ashtamatrikas, nine planets, ten Vishnus, eleven Rudras, twelve Adityas, twenty four goddesses and 88 pilgrimages, symbolizing the eighty-four Kalpas of the Kalachakra. Kaladhiraja Maharaj is seated in the center of all this. The sages embodied the energy of the entire universe in a symbolic form. Ujjain led India’s civilization, culture, knowledge, dignity, literature, art for a thousand years. Prime Minister Shri Modi said that the cultural splendour of a nation, its identity is the biggest sign of its success. Our religious and cultural centres are continuously being developed in India. Proper development of centres including Ujjain, Somnath, Kedarnath, Badrinath etc. is being done. All weather roads are being built in Chardham project. We have launched Swadesh Darshan and Prasad schemes. The glory of our religious and spiritual centres is being restored. Today Mahakal Lok is ready to welcome the future with the glory of the past.
The Prime Minister Shri Modi said that the divinity, grandeur, architecture and art of our ancient temples amaze us. The Sun Temple at Konark, the Kailash Temple at Ellora, the Sun Temple at Modhera, the Brahmadeveshwar Temple at Tanjore, the Tirumal Temple at Kanchipuram, the Rameshwaram Temple, the Meenakshi Temple and the Shankaracharya Temple in Srinagar are unique. The spiritual message of our temples is clearly heard even today. Generations see it, hear it. They are the bearers of our continuity and tradition.
Prime Minister Shri Modi said that our cultural tradition has been engraved in the form of art and craft in Mahakal Lok. Artifacts based on the stories of Shiva Purana have been made here. He appealed to the countrymen that they must certainly come here. Along with the darshan of Lord Shiva, there will also be darshan of his grandeur and significance. The Panchmukhi Shiva, Damru, Ardhachandra, Saptarishi Mandalas constructed here are unique. Shiva is knowledge. Shiva Darshan is the Universe Darshan. The development of Jyotirlingas is the development of India's spiritual light, knowledge and philosophy. India is again ready to guide the world today.
Prime Minister Shri Modi said that Bhasma Aarti performed at Shri Mahakaleshwar is a symbol of resurrection from the end and the journey from the end to the Eternal. Where there is Mahakal, there the poison also becomes nectar. It is a symbol of India's vitality and invincible existence. India has been immortal for centuries. Our civilization, tradition, spirit is awakened. Shri Mahakaleshwar is the only south facing Jyotirlinga in the world. Temples are the proven centres of our faith. Through them India is being revived.
Prime Minister Shri Modi said that India has a tradition of Kumbh Mela for thousands of years. Every twelve years we churn the nectar and walk on the path of nectar that comes out of it. I had come to Ujjain in the last Kumbh Mela. At that time, a resolution came in my mind regarding the Shri Mahakal Lok, which has been fulfilled by Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan in the form of a resolution today, I thank him.
Today a new India is being built on ancient values. Our traditions of science and research are alive. Chandrayaan, Gaganyaan missions are important successes in the field of astronomy. We are self-reliant in the field of defence. Our youth are bringing laurels to India in the world in the fields of skill, sports and startups.
Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the sun of civilization has risen in India itself. Our culture is also Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam and Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah. Our message is of world welfare. Swami Vivekananda gave this message of India to the whole world. What one Narendra did, the other Narendra is doing it today. He took our Yoga, Upanishads, Gita-knowledge and Ayush into the world. Today Shri Narendra Modi is building a glorious, prosperous, powerful India.
Shri Chouhan said that Vichar Mahakumbh was also held in Simhastha in 2016, in which Prime Minister Shri Modi had come. In the Vichar Mahakumbh, 51 nectar points emerged, one of which was the work of establishing Shri Mahakal Lok. This work was started with the inspiration of Prime Minister Shri Modi. In the year 2018, the cabinet approved it, in the year 2019-20 this work slowed down, but after the year 2020 it was done rapidly. Today it is being released. Lord Shiva is the welfare of all, with a little worship, he becomes happy, whom the world rejects, he adopts it. He gave nectar to the whole world and drank the poison himself.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that today India will give a wonderful vision of eternal peace to humanity, stunned by materialism, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Let us all give our best in the Navnirman of India. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan gave a pledge to everyone present for the welfare of the world and the living beings.
In the beginning, a replica of Nandi Dwar was presented by Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel and Chief Minister Shri Chouhan to Prime Minister Shri Modi. Shri Modi was welcomed by Chief Minister Shri Chouhan by wearing Rudraksh garland, body cloth and turban. Renowned Bhajan singer Shri Kailash Kher presented a melodious Shiva-Stuti. The whole atmosphere was filled with devotion to Shiva.
It is noteworthy that on the occasion of the inauguration of Shri Mahakal Lok, major temples and shrines of the entire state, including the Mahakal temple, were illuminated and the local people saw the launch ceremony on the screen. Shiva Aarti was also performed in the temples along with Bhajan-Kirtan. Due to the efforts of Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, not only 52 districts of Madhya Pradesh, but more than 40 countries including the whole of India became the witness to this wonderful celebration. The echoes of Shiva's glory were heard all around. All the people became happy and devotional by the dedication of Shri Mahakal Lok.

People of other countries including India were also mesmerized by seeing Shri Mahakal Lok developed religiously and spiritually. No one was left untouched by the charm of this folk built on the lines of the Banaras Corridor. Prime Minister Shri Modi also expressed happiness over the efforts of Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan after seeing Shri Mahakal Lok.
The Governor of Chhattisgarh, Ms. Anusuiya Uikey, the Governor of Jharkhand, Shri Ramesh Bais, the Union Minister of Agriculture and Welfare, Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, the Minister of Civil Aviation and Steel, Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia, the Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment, Shri Virendra Kumar Khatik, the Minister of State for Steel, at the inauguration ceremony. Shri Faggan Singh Kulaste, Union Minister of State for Water Power and Food Processing Industries Shri Prahlad Patel along with ministers of Madhya Pradesh and a large number of saints, devotees and citizens were present.
