Largest Karate Lesson Guinness World Record Achieved by World Karate Masters Association WKMA in Chennai.


2,996 Karate Practitioners Set a Guinness World Record with Spectacular Feats!

A total of 2,996 karate practitioners across India came together at one location to perform synchronized karate feats, setting a New Guinness World Record.

Organized by the World Karate Masters Association WKMA, this historic event took place on February 8 at the Tamil Nadu Physical Education and Sports University in Chennai. Over 5,000 karate students participated, with 2,996 of them performing continuous karate techniques, including punches, kicks, and blocks for 30 minutes in front of Official Guinness World Records Adjudicator Mr. Rishi Nath.

This marked the first time in the history of World Karate that such a World Records was conducted under the supervision of Guinness World Records Adjudicator. Karate Students from all over India participated and showcased their skills in a synchronized display of karate techniques, leaving the audience in awe.

The Guinness World Records Adjudicator Mr. Rishi Nath Officially Recognized this Achievement and Issued The Prestigious Guinness World Records Certificate. The Record Details was also uploaded in the official Guinness World Records website on February 21.

Speaking to reporters in Chennai, Mr. S. Bala Murugan, President of the World Karate Masters Association, said:

"Our Goal is to Provide Free Self Defense Training to Millions of People across India. As part of this initiative, we have been working towards this since 2013. This Guinness World Records Attempt is a stepping stone to Achieve that Mission. We started planning for this event in May last year and executed successfully now. During the event, some individuals threatened us and tried to discourage us from proceeding. However, we overcame all obstacles and achieved this feat without giving up."

He added, "Over the Next Five Years, We Aim to Provide Free Self Defense Training to 80 Million People. We do not Seek Money or Positions from the Government or Public, we only request their Cooperation to make this Vision a Reality."

The press meet was attended by S. Bala Murugan, President of World Karate Masters Association WKMA, T. Barathan, the Official Witness from Guinness World Records and Praveen Ranka, the Technical Director of the World Karate Masters Association, among other Karate Officials.
