  Green Bee-Eater is known as "લીલો પતરંગો" in Gujarati and "पतरिंगा/पतेना" in Hindi. And its scientific name is Merops orientalis.

 The length of this bird is nine inches with its tail about five centimeters long. Its body is parrot-colored, its eyes are red, its beak is black, its throat is a bluish-red color around its neck, and its legs are gray. And moving around in different places in search of food.

  The family consists of three genera with a total of 27 known species.  They are recognized by their colorful slender bodies and long tails. Most species of this family are found in Africa and Asia, but some also live in southern Europe, Australia and New Guinea.

 This bird feeds on bees, butterflies, wasps, dragonflies and small insects. This bird is more common in places like tree trunks, electricity poles and wires so that it can easily hunt insects. Alfez Bhatti, a wildlife photographer from Gujarat, captured three green bee-eaters sitting in a hunting posture in his camera.
